The Future of the Trebartha Estate |
During 2010 and 2011 a great deal of rhododendron had been cut back because it is a host for Phytophthora ramorum which causes ‘Sudden Oak Death’, not just to oak trees but a wide range of trees including sweet chestnut. The Swan Pool shown above had been temporarily drained to help remove vast amounts of weed. This whole process was to be followed by refilling the pool and sensitive replanting. |
